One of the most frequent problems is the extreme slowdown windows and locks also a trivial thing (open Internet, open a document) etc .. I found out later from the task manager that the use of the disc is always fixed at 100% for no apparent why .... with the computer idle. Reading here and there and performing simple tests I came to fix it!
3 Ways to Fix disk usage to '100%
1 The most common cause is Windows Update, which seeks consistently updates slowing down in a clear manner the pc.Basterà disable the automatic update and it manually once every two weeks.
To turn off automatic updates:
- Open the interface METRO
- Writing Windows Update settings
- Choose how to install updates
- Click on Never check for updates
2 Another common problem is the Windows SuperFetch:
- Click and hold windows key + R key
- Type services.msc in run
- The list is Superfetch
- Stop it and disable it
- Restart the PC
3 If you can not solve another problem is the conflict between Google Chrome and Windows 8.1, uninstall it and use firefox or another browser system .. If the problem is not chrome uninstall it.
One last test to do before you do a clean reinstall of Windows 8.1 is to change and to change the settings of the paging file taking it from automatic to manual.
