If you happen to have a laptop with a broken screen but still working you have faced the question, but I can use it a laptop screen as a monitor?
The answer is yes. With a simple adapter we can convert a LCD monitor with a laptop in a different kind of revenue.
There are many on-line adapters ranging from 15 up to about 30 dollars can meet all your needs.
As an example I will show you how I have recovered from a monitor to a Acer Extensa 15.4.
The equipment required is simple:
• The screen obviously.
• The adapter for my needs I chose a simple one with the VGA port as connection but browsing if they are of different types (HDMI, component, and also with input for the antenna).
• A 12V power supply that provides between 5:06 A.
• A VGA cable (or another cable if you have chosen the one with multiple interfaces).
Now let's see how:
1. We must choose the adapter according to the interface with which the monitor was connected to the laptop and the serial number of your monitor. d. A control board that contains the connector and the power supply
2. Once in possession of the adapter to the monitor and turn upside down disconnect we see that the flat connector on the back. We pay careful attention not to damage or tear because it is often covered with tape and is very delicate.
3. Disconnect the coupon that worked in the old laptop inverter always being careful not to pull too hard as they are all very thin and fragile connectors.
4. Once disconnected all the cables you're done. We connect the new LVDS cable that goes from the monitor to the control board and the inverter cable to the new drive in the box. You just can not go wrong with the verses as they are forced all the joints.
5. We stick the adapter into the power outlet and the control board and the VGA cable and have our monitor.
For aesthetic and functional, you can build a frame around it, I've built a simple aluminum profile.
